My figurative work explores gender identity, emotional transformation, and the vulnerability of being seen. As a transgender, non-binary artist, I use both painting and mixed-media installation to navigate and express the journey of becoming—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
In the painting series Raw & Exposed: Transition and Out and About, I trace my transition from male to a non-binary identity through raw, intuitive brushwork and abstract figuration. These works embody paradox: strength and fear, clarity and confusion, desire and concealment. They are both a cry for visibility and a reflection on the cost of being seen.
